Install Stellar on Wix

Wix has no plugin for this. Custom Code in the head is the install.

1. Copy the snippet

In Stellar, open the project for this site and copy the snippet from your domain settings. Leave Anti-Flicker on if you are running visual tests. Direct head install is what makes that work. How anti-flicker works.

2. Paste it on Wix

  1. In the Wix dashboard, open Settings, then Custom Code. On some sites it is under Marketing & SEO, then Custom Code.
  2. Click Add Custom Code and paste the snippet.
  3. Set the placement to Head.
  4. Apply it to All pages.
  5. Publish the site. Draft previews do not run the snippet.

Custom Code needs a Wix Premium plan. If you do not see the option, that is usually why.

3. Confirm it loaded

  1. Open a published page in a private browser window. Editor and draft previews often hide the snippet.
  2. Open developer tools and go to the Network tab.
  3. Reload and look for stellar.js. If that request is there, the install is done.

If it does not load

  • Publish after you save. The editor preview is not the live site.
  • Use Head, not Body - end. Body loads too late for anti-flicker.
  • Add it once. A second copy in Velo or another app will conflict.
