Pre-launch QA checklist
Run through this list before sending traffic to an experiment on Wix.
- Confirm stellar.js loads in the Network tab on pages where experiments should run
- Verify only one install path is active (direct head install or GTM—not both)
- Match anti-flicker settings to your install method (direct install recommended)
- Clear CDN, theme, or platform cache after saving snippet changes
- Test in an incognito window with ad blockers disabled
- Publish the site after adding custom code—draft previews are not enough
- Confirm the snippet appears once in head (not duplicated in Velo or another app)
- Test on both www and non-www URLs if both resolve
- Check mobile editor breakpoints if testing responsive sections
Wix limitations and gotchas
Publish required for live tests
Custom code changes only affect the published site. Plan experiments after publish, not only in the editor preview.
Velo and dynamic pages
Heavily dynamic Velo pages may need extra validation that the snippet loads before variant application. Test on the exact page template you intend to experiment on.
